Tips for Planning a Halloween Party

Are you planning a cool Halloween party?  If you are, this is the week where it all comes together!  No matter what the theme for your party is, when it all comes together, it will be awesome.  Of course, before you can get there, you have to put the party together, and that can be a little stressful!  Here are some tips for putting together the perfect Halloween party.

•    Don’t stress!  Everything will turn out fine.

•    You don’t have to decorate all at once if you don’t want to.  You can put up a few here and there as you have time.

•    You don’t have to buy brand new decorations.  You can reuse old decorations, especially if you mix and match or swap up how you place them.

•    Have some decorations that look old or cheap?  Revamp them!  Paint them, add them to something else, cut them up…find creative uses for those old decorations that don’t look that great or for those dollar store ones that you picked up because they were cheap.

•    Check the weather forecast before putting up a lot of outdoor decorations, especially those that might get damaged by bad weather or blow away.  You don’t want to put up a lot of outdoor items only to have them get damaged or destroyed before the party.

•    Remember that your snacks can be decorative, too, especially if you can shape them into Halloween-related shapes like bats, witches hats, and ghosts.

•    Make a list of everything that needs to be done the day of the party so you don’t forget anything.

•    Give yourself a deadline of about an hour before the party starts to have everything done.  That way, you have time to get into your costume.  If your costume is pretty elaborate, you might need more time.

•    Again, don’t stress!  And don’t forget your Halloween flowers in Kansas City, MO!
